Players: Clay, Carellan, Alance, Amari, Siriel, Shakti, Meredin, Heather

There seems to be a group of shambling mounds slamming themselves into the walls of the White Hart as if they are trying to tear the walls and therefore the Inn down.

She's been patient. Really. Dealing with all the rumours of things attacking the city, even fighting the dire wolves in Kauppatori. This? It's almost too much for the Berezani woman, who sprints out of the Hart -- her /home/ -- and unslings her bow. Shakti espies the mounds and slows, an eyebrow lifting. "... not these things again."

Clay blinks, as he follows the sounds of shouts and whatnot, frowning deeply. "What's this now?" he asks, looking at the mounds as he cocks his head to the side. Frowning deeply, he takes a deep breath.

Carellan comes limping out of the White hart with his leg bandaged and his face in some pain, but his bow over his shoulder. "Oh gods, I get mauled by dire wolves, and now, while i am trying to recover, the place I am recovering gets attacked. Evighet, I fail to see the amusement in this."

There are 4 giant mounds of foilage attacking the walls of the white heart as people start to leave the building and others show up from the city they turn to confront the little beings that are behind them.

Siriel comes out of the White Hart after hearing the deafening blows to the side of the building, she had just come downstairs from the room she keeps here in town. She steps out the door her bow in hand looking about to see what's hitting the hart. Seeing the 4 mounds of foilage she mutters under her breath and shakes her head.

Amari and Alance come running towards the sounds of trouble and the shouts of fear. Her boots bringing her more quickly than she would have been able to run without such magical aid. She wears her golden armor and quickly takes stock in the situation. Her green eyes sharp and alert even as she begins to prepare for battle by casting a spell upon something in the palm of her gloved hand.

Meredin is currently hustling along; although that is kind've hard to do when you happen to be wearing a dress. By the time she arrives on the scene the elf is puffing a bit and leans over, resting hands on knees, saying, "Need to.. stop running.. entire way.. to these things."

Alance glances at Amari just for a moment then, steps in to do what he can, his sword flashing in the light as he begins his attack. Striking the first mound he gets to with two good solid hits, injuring it.

Remembering the last time fighting one of these Siriel doesn't activate the flaming ability on her bow, just pulls back on the string and fires an arrow at Shambler1 but misses it completely unfortunately.

The first Sambler turns to attack Alance the first swing slashed along his armor the second missing entirely shambler3 moves into flanking position on Alance and his swing connects doing slight damage to the armoured man, Shambler 4 moves to attack Amari it's first swing skates along her armour the second slams into her for great damage.

Shakti draws, nocks, and fires her first arrow, lodging it into the first shambler ... but it's not enough to hurt it tremendously. The thing's still alive and kicking. The Berezani woman purses her lips with annoyance and prepares for the next shot.

Shambler 2 sees the human woman with the bow and moves to attack her, the creature swings and hits Shakti for solid damage and readies itself for another volley of attacks.

Carellan knows that he can't really fight in the condition he is in. Its amazing that he is even standing at this point. So, he goes to duck behind some sort of cover. A handy tree will do just nicely.

Amari let's out a cry of pain when the shambler rips into her flesh leaving a bloody trail in it's wake. She murmurs a few words and her sword glows with a magical aura as she swings it and cuts just as deeply into the shambler that hit her. She has wounded it as badly as it injured her. Her red hair gets tossed about her head by the wind as her hood is blown back and she pays it no heed.

Meredin immediately clicks her shoes together and starts to wave her arms in the air. Ghostly trails seem to follow her limbs as they start to weave together a spell. When it finishes the elf points her finger towards the shambler on Shakti and hits it with a dull, green beam that disintegrates a hole in its side.

Alance keeps focused on his target, adding more to his attacks, the deadly sword falling three times, hurting the Sham even more, but it's still standing.

Siriel stands a bit back from the group and notches another arrow, raising her bow she aims at the Shambler (1) and releases her arrow at it, hitting it square in... what looks like it should be it's stomach.

Shambler #1 uses its flanking bonus to attack Alance again raking across his armour whit both of it's swings.

Shambler 3 swings again at alance and scores a hit Shambler 4 cannot get a hold of

Shakti is injured and bleeding, but she pays that no mind as she draws another arrow to fire. This one misses its mark, though not for lack of trying; it breezes past the shambler and lands behind it. The woman grimaces and shakes her head.

Shambler 2 decides to ignore the human with arrows instead i tturns and takes the step needed to hit the elven woman that hurt it. hiting her soundly with 2 swings it nearly kills her.

Shakti fires another shot in irritation as the thing moves away, the arrow hitting solidly.

About the only thing that an archer who can't shoot into the confusion of the melee can do. HE chooses a spell. He then casts it, and flings a single magic missile towards #3. It plops into its side. "I really have to stop fighting monsters in the city."

Amari swings her longsword yet again and it connects with the shambler that hounds her steps. Her animated shield manages to block another of the shambler's attacks and she lifts her free hand to cast a healing spell that seems to fill the area with it's healing energies and washes over her allies.

Meredin is not a happy elf, nooo. Upon getting whip cracked she squeals in pain and quickly says something in Draconic that causes her to become ghostly in appearance. She floats somewhat, pointing at the shambler while saying, "BAD MONSTER!" and making it eat a fully-powered series of Magic Missiles.

Firing another arrow at Shambler1 Siriel hits her mark with the arrow, the Shambler lets out a low guttural moan sounding like gravel being run over with a grater, a thick brownish liquid oozes from the mound of earthen materials.

Shambler 1 swings at Alance again and misses.

Shambler 3 swings again at Alance again drawing blood, shambler 4 swings again at Amari not being able to get past her defences

Shakti takes aim at the beast Siriel had attacked ... but her arrow falls short of its mark, much to her chagrin. She sets her jaw and grits her teeth with mounting annoyance at the situation as a whole.

Carellan then looks out from behind the tree again to see all the monsters engaged in hand to hand. He then sighs and ducks back around the tree, still favoring his leg.

Amari extends her hand and from the palm a ray of light springs forth and blasts the shambler. This only seems to anger it and it lashes out at her leaving a bloody trail across her hand and face but her spell does go off despite her injury. She casts again even as the blood seems to soak her tunic and cloak but again her spell singes the shambler (4).

Heather coming in over the road at double speed, hearing the commotion a long beam of light comes from heathers finger killing shambling mound number 1.

Alance turns as Heather takes care of one of the ones fighting him. His target the other Sham attacking, his sword is swift and deadly, cutting deeply fatally wounding the Mound.

After watching Heather scorch Shabler1 out of existance, Siriel takes aim at Shambler4 who seems to have been trying to beat the crap out of Amari. Drawing back on an arrow she lines up her shot, shooting right over Amari's shoulder and killing it with a huge muddy explosion, covering those nearby with leaves and sticks and other random debris.

Shakti aims for the remaining shambler, her mouth set in a grim line. Annnd ... she fires, the arrow sinking deep into the rotted vegetation but apparently not doing enough harm to slay it. Alas.

shambler 2 continues to try to hit meredin swinging and hitting nothing but air.

Carellan then takes one more look at the powerful people taking out all the shamblers and then sighs. "Well, at least I know not to come out anymore." He then stands up from the tree once more, and starts to hobble back to the White hart once more.

Meredin is quite unhappy. Her kill was stolen! Oh well; time to kill-steal someone else. The elf turns to the last remaining shambler and gives it a magic missile shower that it won't soon forget.

Amari casts a spray of shards at the last shambler and it gets a bit cut up. Moving in closer she swings her sword hacking at it and chopping of a piece. It is still up though and she hasn't been able to bring one down yet. She growls with frustration over her apparent lack of ability to bring one of these creatures down.

As the last shambler falls to it's death a soft green glow surrounds them then they all disappear.

Siriel looks around scanning the nearby area for any of the mysterious men that other people have reported seeing after the creatures have finally been defeated, she sighs as she reshoulders her bow.

Heather seems to have a idea but she looks over the shambling mounds hoping to pick up something about them

Shakti replaces her bow with a casual roll of her shoulder and moves to adjust her gloves with a sour look. "Hideous things."

Amari 's sword disappears into the palm of her gloved hand and she looks up at Alance offering him a tired smile,"I'm here Alance." she calls to him even as she lifts a hand to her face to stem the flow of blood.

Heather looks to the people here and asks "please every one let me practice a new healing spell." she asks as she gets closer to Amari and hopes others get closer."

Alance steps over quickly, placing a hand on her cheek and murmuring a soft prayer, his hand glows faintly blue, her wounds healing. He smiles a bit at Heather.

Meredin remains ghostly for several minutes after the fight is over; she just floats there in the air waiting until it's done. When it does the elf lands on her feet and goes to stretch out. "Well that was annoying.."

Heather sends out a blue energy that hits the whole party. But there is a pain look to her face as she is not use to this new level of magic yet. "damn I hate that feeling." but to any spell caster here can tell this magic is new to her.
