Day 3 - The Wedding
From WinterWiki
April 25th 2007
Siriel walks over to the merchant in the weapons booth "oh thank you, oh yes I had lots of fun last night in the competition thank you for asking." she grins at the man "actually that's why I'm here, I was thinking maybe I might purchase a couple of daggers like the ones we used last night in the competition, do you have any like those?" she asks as she adjusts the pack resting on her hip.
Heather comes in to the park area to check out the event listing to see what she will be trying tonight.
Demetria slides up behind Siriel. "hmmms" she states and looks over the weapons slowly. She smiles gently and winks at Siriel. "You going to be around tonight?"
Siriel grins at Demetria "I wouldn't miss it" she says with a chuckle "Who's doing the ceremony for you?" she asks out of curiousity as she continues to look at the daggers.
Heather walks over to the weapon booth looking more energetic, she gives the weapons a nice once over but has no wishes to buy any.
Theodone is sitting at the bench and perhaps almost falling asleep but with the crowd gathering, he ain't getting any of that soon. He leans back and watches the crowd, his longbow at his side and his cloak around him, keeping him worm some what.
The small sounds of snowflakes touching his thick hood lend the stranger towards drifting away himself, back to those frozen lands, back to that castle. Blinking, Tsubarthe notices a crowd seeming to be gather for what he had heard about in the streets; some form of festival. Walking next to a bench that houses a patron of the park with his longbow at his side. The stranger says nothing for now, seeming content to watch the children play in the snow before he removes the gauntlet on his hand to hang it at his waist.
Demetria motions over to Heather, "If she is free today." she states and sighs, "Its way past the time for this ceremony really."
Siriel smiles to the two "Well I'll be in the park all day so I will most definitely be here" turning specifically to Demetria "I'm really glad he came back" she says with a smile. "I'll take two of this one" she says to the merchant about the daggers, standing and waiting for them while she talks with the two women in the weapons booth.
Demetria chuckles, "Alright, "she states and looks about, "I don't know where the other half of me is." she sighs and looks at Siriel. "You and me both." she remarks. "you and me both."
Iymbryl enters from the southern exit, walking with his staff, slowly and easily. He appears to be refreshed, and ready for anything, hair pulled back taunt and clothes carefully arranged to hang on him just so.. Walking past the site o the battle from last night, he smirks but continues, making his way to the vendor area, the hood of his cloak down so all can see him.
Siriel nods to the vendor as she steps out of the tent "I'll listen for the announcement" she says with a wink to Demetria and Heather "If you need anything please come find me, I'll do anything I can" she says as she slips out of the tent back into the open area of the faire, she looks up at the sun feeling a tiny bit of it's warmth on her face and smiles to herself as she closes her eyes and just enjoys the day.
A small statured figure comes wandering into the park from the east entrance, wisps of red tresses poke out of the oversized hood. Taking a second look the entire cloak looks about three sizes too big on the person wearing it. The figure saunters over to the jewelry booth, it's understood that the person hiding in the over sized cloak must definitely be a woman, no man should saunter like that (well unless they're an elf). A small giggle comes out from under the hood of the cloak as something is said to her from the merchant in the jewelry booth.
The small halfing children notice the glances from the 'sad' stranger and decide to cheer him up. Numbering in the half dozen they drag him, while laughing, over towards the stands. A sickened look spreads on his face as they lightly tease him and generally mob him. "What's your name stranger? Can you do a trick for us? Please?" They whine, droning their tones until the Elf nods, "My name is Tsubarthe and yes, I can do tricks for you." Holding his hands out two lights emerge, slowly, from each hand and begin to playfully hover between all of them. The lights would likely light up back back of Iymbryl's clothes.
Iymbryl turns at the unleashing of magic, even one so small as a dancing lights spell. Smiling he stops from his path and watches Tsubarthe entertain the children. He does not however move to help, simply watching and studying, trying to discern just how much skill this young mage has.
Heather walks over the jewelry and asks the worker there "did my earrings come in yet." asked hopeful
After stepping out of the jewelry booth back out into the mass of people gathering. The young redhead in the over sized cloak sees the display of lights and giggles. "I need to learn that one" she says quietly and stands there watching them with a beautiful smile playing on her lips.
Siriel smiles as she watches the children's reactions to the strangers magic tricks and heads over to a bench to sit down and watch the crowd.
Heather looks to the cloaked woman, gives a smirk and goes back to the attendant that gives her a small box.
Demetria nods and sighs, "I was thinking I should have gotten a ring for Arvilli, Something special you know." she states.
Setting his, mostly useless, staff down in the snow, Tsubarthe pulls his hood back to show that he could be in need of a good bath at the local inn. His clothes are not tidy and are most certainly not cleaned recently, "There should be a hawk coming by here soon." The kids all shake their heads, "Yes any minute now, at least two of them." There's some light giggling but just as he had said, cry of a pair of hawks emits overhead and all the children look up to empty skies. His eyes meet Iymbryl for an uncomfortable moment before Tsubarthe nods a form of greeting. The last time he used his powers it wasn't for joy but to save himself from that caste.
Iymbryl notices Siriel sitting by her self, remembering her from the day before. He walks to, and sits down on that same bench, next to her, his staff rising up before him. "Well met Siriel.. Enjoying the show?" He says nodding his head toward Tsu's show.
Siriel smiles at Iymbryl and nods "Oh yes, I do enjoy some of the mage magics" she says quietly "I do very little magic myself but some of the stuff the wizards do can be so pretty if nothing else" she says with a chuckle.
Pushing back her hood the red headed beauty walks over to where the elf doing the magic is and smiles "Where did you learn that first one with the lights?" she asks politely "Oh my names Zsuzsa" she says as an afterthought still impressed with the dancing lights.
Tsubarthe smiles lightly, "When I lived in the tundra a master of magics taught me a few things." The lights then pull together to, vaguely, make the form of a man though, when the kids poke at it, it dissapates back into the separate spheres. "Zsuzsa, my name is Tsubarthe, a ranger of Thromgar." he introduces with a small bow before looking back to the children with a small grin, "I hadn't thought to use my magic for this, until just now."
Demetria taps her chin slowly and sighs, "What do you get a Wizard.." she remarks under her breathe.
Zsuzsa grins "Well I think it was a wonderful idea, unfortunately I don't have any magics memorized that I think the children would like very much" she says with a small shrug, she looks over her shoulder to the man that Tsubarthe had nodded at sitting on a bench with Siriel and gives the two on the bench a broad award winning smile.
Iymbryl does not notice the smiles though, his attention being focused on the magic show and on Siriel. What he does do however is decide to add a bit to Tsu's show. He smiles to Siriel and flicking is fingers in a small rapid pattern for a moment, then he points at Tsu's own staff, laying on the ground as it is. The staff shifts and shudders on the ground beside Tsu, and it rises, slowly and one end resting on the ground. It is beside and slightly behind Tsu so he may not notice it's movement.
"You know magic as well?" He says seeming quite impressed, "I've been searching for another instructor in magic. At least to show me what spells are out there to learn." he says hearing his staff shudder and move. He stands to see Iymbryl and seems confused for a long moment, "Another worker of magic? I'm not as alone as I thought I was." He says running a hand over his poorly tended to hair.
Demetria looks about slowly and ends up sighing. "alright I give up." she remarks to the masses. Wizards are to hard to shop for."
Siriel notices the smile and nods back at Zsuzsa and then giggles as she watches the staffs movements behind Tsubarthe "I could roll a fire ball over there, but I think that might put a damper on the festivities" she whispers to Iymbryl.
Zsuzsa chuckles "oh no there are lots of magic users here" she says "see even Demetria is trying to shop for one" she says with a giggle pointing over to where the halfling woman is standing.
Iymbryl glances at Siriel and nudges her, smirking but shaking his head. "No great inferno's Lady Siriel.. let's us entertain the children and not transform the area into a bonfire, Hmmm?" He says low, not quite a whisper, but definitely not his normal tone either. The fingers of his other hand work in a pattern as well and his own staff stands at attention, following Iymbryl's will. It bobs and dances to some unheard melody, though the bobbing is in tune to a certain giant cooking song the half elf heard the day before. His staff walks itself over to Tsu's both of them walking out in from of him, then rising into the air a few feet, out of reach of the halfling children. Both staff's bow to Tsu, and they weave themselves in a very simple interweaving pattern there, making it seem as if Tsu is doing it all the while.
Siriel chuckles "most of my spells are for defensive purposes" she says with a slight blush "Most entertaining one I have is one that would be a bright light" she says a bit sheepishly as she watches the staves dance in the air.
"I see." he says with a small grin on his lightly tinted features, "I'm glad that there are so many interested in magic." His old master had set that fire into him, showing him massive spells that could defeat more than a few dozen men with their destructive effects. The children continue to be absolutely marveled by Tsubarthe's magic, even though only the lights remain of his particular casting. A light floats it's way back to Tsubarthe's hand as he acknowledges Iymbryl's efforts and then bows with deep respect towards the staffs.
Zsuzsa grins "You'll see that there are a great many here that use magic, like your friend over there" she chuckles pointing at Iym. "Sometimes there's nothing but magic users here" she whispers loudly to Tsub with another giggle.
Slipping into the park without making any particular effort to hide would be Shakti, her skirts whispering as she meanders her way along. She pauses at the fringes of the crowd, dark eyes flicking here and there as if seeking something in particular. Failing to find whatever it is, she drifts off toward the booths to examine the wares with a cursory interest at best. Nothing seems to catch her eye here, but she may as well make the attempt.
Iymbryl frowns slightly, seeing Tsu bow his way in thanks, threatening to ruin the illusion. Iymbryl smirks hough, and both of the staffs bob in place, indicating the children sill watching the free floating staves, as if to say, "Don't give me up.. mind the children" He says and focuses on the staves, forcing them to stay aloft, but murmuring a few choice words and flicking a few fingers while he does so. A stream of lights appears from thin air at his fingertips and they soar up and away, drifting down from the heavens it seems, to cloth the staff's in light, leaving both a foot or so bare. The lights shimmer and one staff turns a bright vibrant blue, and the other a rich glowing red, and they begin floating again, the lights following then, not perfectly just enough to leave a bit of a light trail. The light clothed staves dance and clash in midair is if two mighty warriors duel for the children's entertainment above their heads.
A larger smile shows on the awkward Elf's lips this time as he watches the staffs duel in an epic saga, "A unique concept." He turns back to the children and bows lightly, and they all, giggling, bow quite seriously back to him. Tsubarthe, having seen other mages do it at least, forms a few signs with his hands, as any trained mage would view as silly, before looking to the children, "There you are children, watch the good and evil staffs fight for their very lives!" His tones are forced, which might take away some of the grandeur of the show, "And I am off to fight dragons and orcs..." he says with a bit of puff before, with a curt nod to Zsuzsa and Iymbryl, he walks from Vinter Park.
Zsuzsa giggles as she watches Tsubarthe walk out of the park, she looks to see if she can catch the eye of the mage who was actually controlling the staves.
Siriel watches as Tsubarthe leaves "that was quite a show you two put on there" she says amused "you two been on the road together?" she asks and then nudges Iymbryl and nods towards Zsuzsa.
Heather comes back with nicer looking silk robes one, in her left hand is a bible of valtamri. She walks to a open area where there are some stones and with a few words in celestial that makes the stones turn in to a raised platform with two other platforms that is a little lower.
Arvilli comes nervously out, following along the priestess and then fishes into his pocket, then smiles. Running his fingers through his hair, he then looks back at Heather with a nervous smile. Gone are the furs and robe, to be replaced by the best made leather clothing.
Demetria has disappeared ...again...Just gone. who knows where the little woman ever goes.
Shakti picks a spot near the front of the crowd to get a better view of what looks to be a ceremony. Or, at least, the start of it. She's blending in as best as she can, given her choice of yellow and orange for colours.
Heather sighs and looks around as she asks "Demi where are you, we're ready for the run through?" not said to loud but loud enough maybe others can hear.
Siriel chuckles as she looks around for the halfling woman with a tendency of disappearing.
Arvilli chuckles, and it relives his stress just a bit. "Oh, she is probably hiding, waiting for the perfect moment to come walking down the park, or whatever." He then runs his fingers through his hair again.
Demetria slides from the shadows not to far from where the duo are currently and smiles at Arvilli. "Right here." she states and pauses. A bouquet of winter roses are present in her hands and a set of twins run from behind her up to Arvilli, "Had to get the boys." she explains.
Zsuzsa gets excited at the notion of a wedding happening right here in the middle of the faire and moves up to a spot next to Shakti and gives her a slight nod "Hi" she says quietly to the other young woman.
Iymbryl chuckles and shakes his head, glancing at both Siriel and at Zsuzsa, offering them both a somewhat charming smile. "Not at all my lady.. you just received the pleasure of watching our first and likely..only... show." He says, his eyes back on the dueling staves. The staff clash loudly, a few lights streaming away from each staff to form a very vague stick figure of a man, each wielding his own sword. The blade thrust and parry for a few more moment's in a silent fight, save for the CLACK, CLACK of the battles sticks. The blue man triumphs though, battering aside his opponent sword, and running him through with his glowing blade. The redman, vanishes, his body and sword light turning blue under Iym's will and drifting over to join and strengthen the lights of the blue man. The light man turns and bows to the children, just before the lights spell gives out and they vanish. Both staves, bow in turn to the children, like actors on a stage, and dart overhead, leaving the children to clap and giggle in glee. the staves meanwhile slip into Iymbryl's hands behind the crowd of halfings who move on, their entertainment gone. "There.. and the deed is done.." He says, looking more fully to Siriel and Zsu, motion the other woman to join them.
Shakti inclines her head politely to Zsuzsa, her bracelets jangling musically as her fingers fuss a bit with her skirts. "Greetings, sai," is murmured, her
voice bearing a notable Berezani accent. Her dark gaze flicks back to Heather, Arvilli, and Demetria, her features settled in a somber expression.
Siriel turns to Iymbryl and whispers "A good friend of mine" she points to Demetria walking with the twins and the flowers "Is going to get married now to" she points to Arvilli "the man she has loved for a very long time, Arvilli" she says with a smile that shows that she's so happy for the both of her friends.
Heather nods with a chuckle as she gives the twins a smile and a finger hello. "Arvill to my right and Demi to my left." she waits untill they move to where she tells them to move. now turning her attention to the public "Please every one come and witness the joining of two souls in wedding bliss, please be the witness to one of the greatest shows of love."
Arvilli smiles fondly to the twins and then motions for one of them to join him as well. He is not only marrying Demetria, but her children as well, who he has help raise for the longest time. He then moves to the right of heather.
Demetria moves up to the left of Heather and whispers a soft. "hey." she winks gently. "About time huh.." she whispers to him softly.
Iymbryl nods to Siriel, smiling at the occasion, if not the actually people, being that he doesn't know them. "Excellent.. the joining of two people is surely a thing to celebrate." He says, nudging Siriel at the grin on her face.
Siriel blushes profusely from the tip of her nose to the tip of her pointed ears "What can I say I'm a sucker for love" she whispers and chuckles while she gives a little shrug. She reaches up to push a few stray strands of hair out of her face and back behind her shoulder, the five little colourful stars tattooed on her temple showing for just a moment.
Tanikas walks into the Park, strolling quietly. She looks around slowly, like someone revisiting a familiar place. She smiles to herself, the corner of her mouth turning up slightly. When she comes upon the wedding, she folds her arms over her chest, watching for now. If she recognizes anyone here, she doesn't seem to betray the fact.
Heather looks to the people gathering with a smile she opens the book in her hand as it floats in mid air "We are to see the joining of Arvilli Erikit and Demetria Rosine Tumblefoot for Wedding bliss. With troubling times we have had with the past five years to see two love ones to join not only there hearts and soul as one."
Iymbryl smiles and touches Siriel's shoulder, grinning at her blush. "We are Elven.... strong emotions are our way of life.." He says, smiles warmly at her. He appears to be speaking in Elven
Tanikas walks into the Park, strolling quietly. She looks around slowly, like someone revisiting a familiar place. She smiles to herself, the corner of her mouth turning up slightly. When she comes to the fair in the park, she smiles softly to herself. Seems she was just in time for celebrations, after all.
Siriel nods and blushes "that they are" she says as she looks towards the area thats being set up for the wedding later on. She appears to be speaking in Elven
Zsuzsa looks around at all the people milling about and watching as some people set up some chairs and clean up the area where they're going to have the wedding later on.
Heather gets to one knee says some words that makes the stage glow a bright blue for a few seconds. She stops her magic work as she looks to some little ones that approached "no sweetie I wont be doing a puppet show tonight, but since you asked I will do one tomorrow
Tanikas wanders further into the park, taking a look here and there. With her height and size, she tries to avoid knocking people down. Standing out a head or more above the crowd, she's quite conspicuous. She mumbles an apology to someone as she squeezes by them.
Siriel turns to Iymbryl "Would you like to walk around the booths with me?" she asks quietly. She appears to be speaking in Elven
Iymbryl smiles and nods to Siriel. "Do the leaves fall in Autumn?" He says quietly, and rises to his feet, from the bench they had both been sitting on. He appears to be speaking in Elven
Siriel smiles and stands up from the bench and adjusts her bow and her pack before starting to wander with Iymbryl.
Tanikas wanders closer to a booth selling weapons. The Halberd on her back seems of high quality, but she peruses the wares there. She takes up a sword, hefting it in her hand a moment while she examines it's weight and balance. Smiling to the booth keeper, she hands it back. Seems it wasn't for her, at least this time.
Heather is finished at the sage but smiles when she sees a amazon at the weapon stand. She approaches to Tanikas "miss may I ask you a question or two." said as she is straining her neck to look up at her.
Theodone had fallen asleep on the bench and wakes up abruptly. Noticing that there are more peole around and things are getting set for the wedding he starts to feel around himself for anything that may have been taken and finds that none has. He shakes his head and stands up, grabbing his bow and belongings now.
Iymbryl smiles at Siriel, walking next to her, from vendor to vendor. "What brings you here?" He asks casually, trying to get a bit more information on the woman at his side. He appears to be speaking in Elven
Tanikas looks over at Heather, offering her a polite smile. "I will help however I can." She answers humbly, turning toward Heather now. "I am afraid I have been away from Vintermor for some time. If you have questions about the city, I may not be the best person to ask. I am terribly sorry." She explains. Her voice is caring and soft, compared to her comparatively rough outward appearance. Heather chuckles as she shakes her head "no nothing like that, I lived here for three years. No the question I wanted to is ask, would you pose for a few drawings for me. I am the local toy maker and I wanted to create a few more women warrior miniatures, and I believe you will be very good for that."
Siriel smiles at Iymbryl "You mean Vintermor? or here in the park?" she asks with a chuckle as she loops her arm through Iymbryl's. She appears to be speaking in Elven
Shakti, having drifted among the crowd for some time, emerges somewhere near the booths to poke around. Her interest seems to be focused on where the animals, in particular the horses, are kept and the Berezani peruses the selection with an appraising eye and a sorrowful quirk to her mouth.
Iymbryl blinks at Siriel's suddenly hooking his own arm and smiles wider because of it. "Aye lady.. both.. I meant both." He says casually, guiding them both and watching her at the same time. He appears to be speaking in Elven
Theodone starts to walk through the fair now, looking here and there and wondering when the marriage will take place. Glancing about the vendors now, looking at the gear and potions some more than others. His interest great he actually stop and examines them carefully.
Zsuzsa knows that she doesn't dance very well but decides to walk over to where a couple of musicians are sitting "Would you mind playing a little so that some like myself may dance a little?" she asks in her sweet soft voice.
Tanikas chuckles a little, blushing slightly. "I cannot see how it would hurt." She answers, nodding. "I am a warrior, though only one of limited talent." She explains.
Heather nods "well you are very tall and strong looking I bet your line will do well."
Siriel chuckles "Well the Vintermor part of my story is much longer then the here in the park part" she says as she looks over to Iymbryl and smiles "I'm here at the park because my friend will be getting married here later on and I'm enjoying meeting some people that I've not met before" she says as they walk among the mingling people. She appears to be speaking in Elven
Shakti gives one horse a gentle pat on the nose before drifting away, her arms folding loosely about her middle. Familiar faces are caught from the corner of her eye and nodded to by way of polite, if wordless, greeting.
Tanikas laughs a little, blushing more. "It was not always something to be proud of." She stands a little taller, now. "But your words are kind, and I accept them. Should you need me to help with your toys, I would be proud." She says, her words humble and soft.
Iymbryl grins, "Well lady I must say you interest me greatly.. And I would greatly enjoy hearing your story, any story. But I hunger.. might you be willing to join me for dinner at the Inn outside of the park?" He says, nodding his head in the appropriate direction. He appears to be speaking in Elven
Heather chuckles as she says "well try being short and scrawny all your life. I always wondered what it would be like to be tall and have nice curves."
First came Norm. Chittering, hopping along- followed closely by that short figure in the Burgundy robes, strange black lines on his bald head. "I don't know, I think maybe she lived over there....Hey. Who you calling short?!" Clay suddenly looks up, and over at Heather as he frowns a little.
Theodone keeps on looking at the gear and potions booths and his face seems to be frowning a little but decides in the end not to rush into things. He shakes his head then and scratches the back of his neck and looking about, wondering now what he is going to do. Heather looks to clay and says "I am even fore a half elf I am short."
The musicians start playing and Zsuzsa starts swaying a little to the music and closes her eyes, not a care of how silly she might look to others. She just starts to feel the music flow through her and moves with it.
Clay raises an eyebrow quietly as he walks up to Heather- who's nearly two feet taller then he. "Yeah. That's nothing." Norm runs up the Halfling's leg, perching on his shoulder. "Norm and I are both very short. Don't think its so bad. No one bothers you down here- its not smart to annoy someone who's teeth are are crotch level."
Siriel blushes slightly "I would love to break bread with you" she says quietly as she walks with Iymbryl. She appears to be speaking in Elven
Tanikas laughs out loud, and then looks to Clay, "I am sure she was not speaking of you, friend." She offers, and looks back to Heather, "I do not believe it is the height of the person, but the stature of their heart that matters most." She crosses her thick arms over her chest, "Though being large does have it's advantages, in some cases."
Watching the two shorter ones, she smiles to herself quietly. Things certainly have changed for the better in Vintermor.
Shakti hears the first strains of music and, after a moment's consideration, she heads in that direction. What starts as a bit of footwork becomes a bit more complicated, with gesturing and swaying; in other words, being every bit a dancer as she purports to be. Her skirts flutter a bit as she moves, bangled wrists chiming mellowly and in time with the music.
Iymbryl nods and gently tugs the Lady Siriel away from the hub bub of the fair area, busy even before the main events tonight. "Of course M'Lady... Then breaking bread it shall be" He appears to be speaking in Elven
Heather sighs "try to be 4 foot 10 when normally your race is as tall as humans are normally are." she gives Tanikas a smile "all nice things will get you paid well."
Arvilli just waits for the time of the ceremony, with his hands behind his back, and rocking back and forth, nervously.
Clay shrugs quietly. "That's the problem with tall people Norm. So busy looking down they forget to look up. Nice to meet you all the same, Short-Stuff." he says, spinning on a boot to begin his walk away.
Zsuzsa giggles as she trips over some grass and stumbles a little while she tries to dance "Honest I've not been drinking" she says to the people around her.
Tanikas laughs a little, "Being taller has it's own disadvantages." She looks around, "When you are twice the size of the other children your age, it makes it very hard to play Hide." Looking toward the sounds of music, she smiles quietly, and then looks toward the Halfling as he turns to leave. She doesn't have anything to say, she simply watches him depart with an amused smile on her face.
Shakti seems to relax into the rhythm of the music, her movements flowing and improvised. A little rough around the edges, perhaps, but the ebb and flow of her movements hints at her inherent grace and talent in the art. Her eyes are shut, all the better to drink in the music and let it flow through her.
Heather nods "I understand, well I didn't have many friends growing up."
Theodone walks around now, idly and notices people dancing, some better than others and simply watches them for a bit. He leans on his bow a little as it rests on the ground and smiles lightly. His eyes observing their steps and how they enjoy themselves.
The halfling just shuffles from foot to foot nervously, tugging on his collar and looking around.
Tanikas nods, smiling in understanding. "I did not have many, myself. I was busy raising my younger Brother." Looking toward the music again, she almost looks as if she longs to be where the music is. "I have just arrived in town again, but it looks as if the Hart is still standing. I will most likely be staying there, if they have rooms open. You can contact me there, if you must." She offers, "I think I am going to explore the rest of the festival. The music sounds wonderful..."
Heather nods with a smile "have fun, and visit me at my toy shop any time."
Zsuzsa watches Shakti in awe as she tries to dance, well what she considers dancing everyone else would think that she was having a spasm of some sort.
Tanikas smiles and nods to the shorter woman she has been talking to, "Thank you, Heather. I will be sure to visit." She says, and walks away from the weapons booth. She seems to be following her ears toward the music.
The music begins to pick up the pace, the tempo rising and the music becoming more energetic. With a wide smile, the Berezani woman keeps pace, bracelets jingling and feet flying as she spins into a dance that might be reminiscent of a whirlwind or dervish. It's a kind of controlled chaos, wild and free, with her movements chosen precisely even if it might not appear so to others.
Theodone watches and he seems to smiles as the females seems to be doing much better know, almost like they where professional dancers. He sighs then and stands up straight, his eyes looking about now, watching and waiting as he glances on occasion to the dancers.
Either because everyone has enjoyed the drink a little too much already or music she finally caught the rhythm of the uplifting beautiful music but Zsuzsa's charm suddenly catches in her dancing and she looks absolutely beautiful as her red curly locks bounce with her and the infectious grin on her face shows that as she dances, even if it's not well. She's having so much fun.
Heather watches her two friends dance as she gets back on her stage waiting for Demi to return.
Tanikas walks nearer to the music, coming upon the dancers and the music more fully now. She offers to comment, simply tapping one toe with the beat of the music. Her thick upper arms are crossed across her breastplate, one finger tapping along with her foot. Looking over at Theodone and the other observers, she simply gives them all a quick, considerate glance to make sure she isn't obstructing anyone's view. She does make a much better wall than a window.
The yellow and orange whirlwind begins to slack off a bit, subsiding into a lazy swirl that finally, perhaps reluctantly, winds down to a close before the music is done. Shakti sways a little, then crosses her ankles, laces her fingers behind her back and offers a bow to those that have gathered around. Her cheeks are flushed, her lips drawn into a wide, pleased smile, and she otherwise looks quite happy with the whole thing.
Theodone as he glances about, he can't help but look towards the tall female, about a foot taller than him. he notices her foot tapping and notices she seems to enjoy it but he grins for she is damn tall and powerful looking. " Hello." is a slow calmed voice, trying to speak to the tall one.
Zsuzsa continues dancing (or spasming) for a few more moments as she's losing her breath and should really stop. As if the gods agree Zsuzsa trips again this time over a small stone, losing her balance she seems to flail a little bit and as she's falling over everyone around can hear her giggling. What she doesn't realize is that she's about to fall into Theodone.
Tanikas looks over at Theodone, still tapping her foot lightly. She smiles to him, "Good eve." She says, her voice just a little deeper than someone of smaller stature, but with a kindly tone to it. She doesn't seem timid, but neither does she seem too talkative. Perhaps a little conservative.
So it happens, Theodone just happen to glance away to speak to the tall female when it happens. Someone or something plows right into him but he managed to turn about to face the charge or ...wait its that dancing *plop* He lands on his back and grunts and looses his breath all in one turn. Though at least Zsuzsa did not hurt herself much as he cushioned the fall.
Shakti drifts back into the crowd, feet weaving a pattern as she goes. With the music shifting, she seems to lose interest, and her gaze moves, instead, to where the food stalls are.
A slight out of breath Zsuzsa is nose to nose with the masked elf they call Theo "Um Hi" she says not moving quite yet, and tries to get her breath back as her pale jade coloured eyes met your own eyes "How ya doin?" she says with a chuckle "Name's Zsuzsa, You're Theo right?" she asks finally getting from on top of him.
Tanikas blinks a little, stepping back one step. "Are... are you okay?" She asks, looking down at them with a mix of concern and amusement, almost as if she isn't sure yet to laugh or help. "That didn't sound like it felt good at all." She adds, uncrossing her arms. Looking back to the other dancer, she watches her for another moment before looking back to the two crashed nearby.
Blinking Theo quirks a brow, having little breath he smiles, not saying anything about her been on his lungs some. "Hello, Hi. Yes." and lets out a breath and then holding his side a little, feeling a little pain there but still laying on the ground. As he lays there he starts to chuckle and then blinks to the woman that just got off of him and then to the real tall one. " I am fine, perhaps a little bruise on my ego and my side." though he still stays on the ground
Zsuzsa chuckles and leans down to offer a hand "Well Master Theo I apologize for crashing into you, maybe one day you'll let me by you a nice glass of eisvine to make up for it" she says with a smile.
Tanikas smiles, and nods quietly. She takes the moment to make her get-away, walking off toward the armory stall now. Of course, it's hard to miss her walking away, seeing as she stands heads and hands above many people. There are the sounds of apologies as she attempts to work her way through a crowd, walking side-ways to take up less space in the walk-ways.
Theodone grabs her hand and pulls himself up then and his lips give her a grins. " Sure, if you like, though it is alright, it's not always a beautiful woman falls on my lap." as he winks and laughs now.
Zsuzsa turns a cute shade of pink "Well.." she looks to where Tanikas walked too "I'm sorry I didn't mean too.. .I mean you two were... well" she huffs out a small sigh "I'm sorry Master Theo" she says feeling guilty suddenly.
Theodone finally notices that the tall woman seems to have left and watches as she heads away towards the vendors. he sighs and then shakes his head as he looks back towards Zsuzsa. " It's alright, I had just said hi and in turn she had answered. You happen to then plow me over some." he holds his side agin, trying to stretch it some , moving from side to side now. " Oh and it's simply Theo or Theodone. I am no master of anything, oh..please to meet you." he extends a hand out towards her now.
Zsuzsa smiles sheepishly "My father always taught me to address elves as Master and Lady" she explains quietly as she extends her hand out to Theodone "But if you wish I won't refer to you as Master Theo" she says with a small curtsy and another sheepish smile. "and it's a pleasure to meet you as well"
Heather looks to Zsuzsa from the stage "you never called me that.... but then respect confuses and scares me."
Tanikas engages the shopkeeper at the armor stall a moment, taking a look at a crested helmet. She runs a hand along the bristles, and then tries it on a for a moment. Apparently, she doesn't seem to like the weight of it. Putting it back down on the bench, she shakes her head and says something to the shopkeeper. He laughs a little and nods, and she points at a metal buckler. He brings it over, and she examines it for a while. Passing it back to him, she shrugs and wanders off toward some other stalls.
Theodone shakes her hand and raises a brow as she curtsies. " Uhm..you don't have to do that. I am not special in any way, simply and elf that wondered in from the wilderness." he releases her hands then and smiles a little. " Well, you where ..I mean you did a good job dancing, you have some skill."
Zsuzsa looks over to Heather "You're also not at least 3 times my age" she says with a chuckle, she turns back to Theodone and starts to laugh "oh that's okay Mast...uh Theodone" she corrects herself "I know that I can't dance very well" she says with a shrug and a grin.
Theodone raises a brow at Zsuzsa's words the Heather and then smiles. " Ah, so I am and old one, that is why the respect." he chuckles then and shakes his head. " Wisdom and merits are what one deserves respect. Plus , you did well, at least you tried, unlike myself I simply watched and enjoyed."
Zsuzsa's mouth gapes a little "well that's not quite how my father meant it I'm sure Mast.. err Theodone" she smiles again at her recovery "maybe next time you will dance with me" she says with a big grin "and we can try together and both get shown up by the beautiful Berezani woman"
Theodone chuckles and shakes his head head. " I was teasing but I understand. Just call me Theo, so much better and easier. " looking to where she was dancing before he gulps openly. "I am not a dancer miss, not a tall. Actually I have never tried to dance before."
Zsuzsa grins and gives Theo a wink "Maybe I can show you" she says a bit mischieviously.
Theodone oh's silently and looks at her face, seeing some mischief and chuckles. " Perhaps, perhaps when I have had some to drink and have a little more confidence about people watching."
Zsuzsa grins "can I buy ya a drink?" she says with a giggle and another wink, as she slides up next to Theo and looks up at him batting her eyelashes.
Theodone quirks a brow and then chuckles . " Alright, a drink should be alright. So where..here over there and will it taste good?"
"I would love to get you one here if you'd like?" Zsuzsa says to Theo "But I will still get you an eisvine at the Inn sometime, since it is so much better than ale" she grins as she loops her arm thru his.
Heather is waiting on the stage she made
Tanikas wanders back into view, holding a skewer of meat. It looks absurdly tiny, the two ends pinched between her massive fingers. She bites at the meat on the skewer carefully, trying not to take a bite of the wooden skewers. An absent-minded shopper bumps into her. The bulky woman hardly notices the impact, looking down absent-mindedly at the shopper. Reaching down, she pulls the shopper up by her hand, extending not even the smallest amount of effort in the process. The big woman brushes the shopper off helpfully, and goes back to daintily nipping at her chicken skewer as she walks...
Arvilli comes onto the step and then tugs nervously on the outfit he is wearing.
Heather looks to Arv "relax getting married is no big thing trust me."
Demetria is gone, as always she is. The woman apparently can never be found when absolutely needed. And when she does show up, there are two young boys with her, The twins. One on each side of her as she walks and both waving happily to Arvilli.
Shakti wanders back through once more, nibbling at a roll with some kind of meaty filling. Once her eyes land on the stage that Heather and Arvilli are at, she hitches up her skirts in a hand and starts over that way to join a small crowd that's gathered to watch the ceremony.
ShadowHawk comes bouncing into the fair grounds with a giant grin. In his hand he holds his crossbow at the ready looking around for more garbage heaped attacking people with a quick look around he takes the bolt out and re-attaches the crossbow to his belt and start wandering through the stalls looking for toys.
Heather looks to the two and guides them to there spot "you two ready?"
Blu'Shim comes bouncing after her big little brother and giggles "Shea you didn't wait for me!" she looks around "Has it started already?" she asks about the wedding.
Arvilli just nods and then moves to the right and then smiles to Demetria.
Seeing that a wedding is taking place Shea's mouth forms a solid O and he runs over to watch finding a seat near enough to the couple to be able to see and hear what goes on but far enough away that his fidgeting will not bother them.
Theodone follows Zsuzsa or is simply taken to a nearby booth of ale or alcohol. Seen people arrive for the wedding he smiles. " Perhaps later, I would not mind watching."
Zsuzsa grins "well here" she orders two ales and hands one to Theo "now you can have one while we watch"
Demetria slides up next to Heather and nods slowly as she gives a glance to Arvilli. A beaming look to him and a nervous chuckle before she beams brightly. She doesn't even bother to look about, though the boys about her dress pull lightly and point at her parents in the crowd before looking back up to Demetria.
Iymbryl wandering in from the northern exit, with Siriel by his side, and he seek's out a chair near the front to watch the proceedings.
Quietly, Clay walks back into the area- standing off to one side to watch the whole going ons. He almost stares at Demetria- just watching her every movement. "There's a little resemblance, Norm. I'll give her that."
Theodone chuckles and nods. " yes, yes..I can have one as we watch." he nods to Zsuzsa and then takes a sip from the mug of ale.
Siriel's arm looped through Iymbryl's as they walk up and find a place to sit.
Blu'Shim grabs her brothers arm "C'mon lets go watch the halflings get hitched" she says as she starts to drag him to a chair.
Tanikas looks up from her skewer, looking to the marriage-in-progress. She wasn't aware of any marriage happenings, but she shrugs to herself and finds a stall to lean on. One that doesn't look as if it would suddenly collapse into timbers at the mere sight of her. Crossing her arms over her breastplate once again, she relaxes. She seems happy enough just to be in the park.
Heather waves people over with her hands as the stage seems to make her voice louder "people of the city and its wonderful vistors, please witness the joining of Arvilli Erikit and Demetria Rosine Tumblefoot for the greatest show of love." she gives people a great smile over the two as she pulls out a basin with legs to keep it up, the basin is at the halflings waist.
Shakti picks apart her treat and shifts her weight gingerly from one foot to the other while she waits for the ceremony to proceed. The Berezani woman is, however, oddly somber ... rather than happy as others might be.
ShadowHawk reluctantly lets his big sis drag him over to a chair and resigns himself to trying to be quiet, this last for all of ten seconds before he waves to the kids up front with their mother and says to Blu' "Look quarterlings" with a grin.
Zsuzsa sits beside Theo with a mug of ale in her hand and waits for the wedding to start.
Taladan enters the park from the north. He is dressed in a new outfit of all black, as is his style, but it appears to be one made just for the occasion. His ever present rapier is at his side, but it has been polished and gleams mellow in the torchlight around the gathering area. Anyone with sharp eyes can see that he has gone so far as to use a piece of white silk ribbon to peace knot the blade into the scabbard...Apparently this is a momentous occasion for him as well. He quietly takes a place near the back of the folks gathering to see the wedding.
Demetria smiles softly at Arvilli and chuckles before giving a soft glance around. She beams gently and offers a soft nod to Taladan. Turning back to Arvilli, she chuckles. "finally." she mouths.
Arvilli smiles and then places his hands behind his back, only allowing for a gentle touch of something inside his pocket. A nervous check to see if it is still there. Now his attention is more focused on Heather than Dem. His eyes catch her her and mouth and grins widely.
Blu'Shim stifles a loud laugh and it turns into more of a snicker "I watched them a couple of times, they're favourite game is hide and seek... shh stop talking they're starting now silly and you just keep talking to me" she grins and pokes Shadow.
Theodone sips on his drink and watches the wedding to come. His eyes do glance about the area though, looking towards others.
Iymbryl sits in the front row, Siriel on him arm, though he looks a mite bit nervous, though at what can only be guessed at. He smiles, and sits nex to here, clear jade eyes watching everyone and everything around him.
ShadowHawk grins and sits watching the procedings.
Taladan nods his smile to Demetria and Arvilli, his final blessing to the two as the prepare to wed. He glances over and smiles at the other folks gathered.
Heather holds open a book that hovers in mid air and flips to the page she needs "with the blessing of the gods we ask for you to look over these two as they wish to be one for the end of time." with that said the basen fills full of water. "with life there is regret, for if any one wishes to say there regret or feelings of these two to be wed please speak up your mind or forever hold your peace."
Arvilli can't but help and look over his shoulder to see if anyone would object. There has been so much. His eyes then look back to Demetria, and then over to the twins, and he just smiles.
Tanikas wipes at an eye a little bit, looking away from anyone who might spot her eyes welling up. Who knows what it is, but something about the marriage seems to have her teary-eyed.
Taladan places his fists on his hips and surveys the crowd for a moment as the priestess pauses in her ceremony. He nods encouragement to both Arvilli and Demetria.
Demetria laughs quietly at Taladan and shakes her head slowly, "Continue please." Demetria says quietly. Shakti is where she's been the whole time, watching the wedding with a look that teeters between somber and ... something a bit more unreadable. Troubled, mayhap, or something else. Not at /them/, certainly, but something else.
Tanikas is currently leaning on a stall, much to the concern of the stall-keeper. She is quietly blubbering away, wiping away at her teary eyes carefully. Marriages are so emotional!
Heather looks to the group and nods to what is said to her from the halfling lady "Devotion to ones god is one thing, but ones devotion to ones spouce is another, lets please hear the vow of the two soon to be wed, and hope that there words will inspire to find true love as they have." Heather looks to Arvill to go first.
Meredin wanders along, having heard even more noise than usual, and deciding to investigate she found the crowd gathered for something. So the elf wanders over to where Taladan is and tugs on his sleeve. "What's goin' on?"
Taladan holds a finger to his lips as the priestess comes to the vows section. He leans over to Meredin and whispers, "Deme and Arvilli are being wed this night."
Blu'Shim starts to fidget a bit in her chair, it seems she picked a seat behind the tallest person in the park and can't see anything. She casts levitate on herself, floating just above Shadow's head "Hey Shea" she whispers "I could poot on your head if I wanted too right now" she giggles "good thing I'm not Benny tho eh?"
ShadowHawk looks up at Blu' "you could but if you do make sure it's not an obscuring mist ok! I want to see the rest of this" he says with a grin
Iymbryl simply watches the proceeds, flushing very slightly at Heathers words, his gaze trying to stray from the married folk but forced not to.
Theodone watches and waits for the ceremony as he lightly drinks from his mug of lae. His eyes very curious to the proceeding of a marriage.
Siriel's cheeks are flushed pink a bit as she listens to the words that are meant to have such an impact as this.
Arvilli smiles and then turns to her, and then takes her hands in his. "Demetria. its been a while since the first time we met over at Shereem's house. A lot has happened between the two of us. To the two of us. I have had to prove myself, we both died for monthsat a time, and that seems like the tip of the iceberg. But when I am holding you, thats the best times in my life. I want you to be with me always. Until the end of time. That being said, I will love you until the end of time. Until there is nothing left. When I die, I will be waiting on you once again. My thoughts have always been of you. If you need me, I will be there. Will you have me?"
Heather even seems to be moved by Arvillis words.
Demetria smiles softly at this and she moves to speak up. "I will." She states softly, "Arvilli, You are the reason I came back." she states. "Not to be the best, to see my sons. But to hear you breathe. I knew from the moment that you jumped from the lighthouse, and landed in the icey waters of the Fjord...and lived," she pauses to let this sink in, "You where the one. You have luck about you, and I know that when I am in your arms. I am luckiest woman alive. You know my darkness and you shed a light on it. Because of you, I become a better person. Will you have me?"
Tanikas is so moved by the words, that she seems to be full-on crying now. Tears are rolling down her cheeks faster than she can mop them up with a corner of her toga, and she punctuates that with the occasional sniffle. One would think that these people weren't complete strangers.
Siriel sits with a small smile on her face as she listens to Arvilli and Demetria exchange their vows her eyes well up a little, but no tears escape down her cheeks yet.
Shakti turns, moving to discard the remains of her meat-filled roll and coming across Tanikas in the process. With a bit of a flourish, she withdraws a kerchief from somewhere and offers it with a murmured, "Here, sai." She's not watching the ceremony now, but that's perhaps for the better given how uncomfortable she was.
Arvilli smiles and then nods softly, a small tear escaping from his eye. "I will." The words only spoken loud enough to be heard.
Zsuzsa leans over to Theo "They are so right for each other" she whispers.
Iymbryl smiles broadly watching the joining of these two. Jade eyes gaze over them, and single tear escape from his left eye, rolling down his cheek to splash against his tunic. That is all that escapes from his long taught elven self control over himself.
Meredin says, "Oh," to Taladan when he tells her what's going on and turns to watch the wedding.
Taladan listens silently, as always keeping his own council. This one is not even misty-eyed, but he does seem proud of the two being wed, almost as would be a father proud of a daughter finding a good man to marry.
Theodone looks towards zsuzsa and nods. " Yes, they are a good couple, I wish them well." he whispers this and smiles as he glances back to the ceremony.
Tanikas smiles to Shakti, through teary eyes. She accepts the kerchief, dabbing at her eyes. "Thank you," She whispers, her voice full of emotion. "Weddings always make me cry." She whispers politely, still drying her eyes as new tears fall.
Floating above her brothers head Blu'Shim leans over a bit and taps him in the side of the head "Aren't they just the cutest together, I love love" she whispers in a dreamy voice.
Heather is a bit misty eyed and even her own voice shows this as she says "words alone are not the only show of bond, we also use rings to show everyone." with this said two rings float out of the water bassen "Arvilli, please take the ring closest to you and repet what I say Demetria, will you except and honour me threw the highs and lows and the goods and bad." she then follows with and then place the ring on her ring finger.
Arvilli smiles softly, taking the ring only with an absent grab for it. He then looks back at her. "Demetria, will you accept and honor me through highs and lows and the good and the bad?" HE then gently places the ring on her finger.
Demetria looks at Arvilli, "Of course I will." she remarks and slides the finger fully onto her finger.
Shakti inclines her head to Tanikas, a half-smile being managed and a hand lifted to rest on the taller woman's shoulder if she'll let it. It's a consoling gesture, soothing, with the soft chime of bracelets to accompany it. "'Tis not a bad thing, sai," she assures gently, though the assurance is likely unnecessary, "such a thing tends to be so for many."
Heather chuckles "we will except that as I do, and Demetria will you do the same.
Siriel smiles a bit as she turns and sees the tear roll down Iymbryl's cheek, she doesn't say anything just turns to look back at the bride and groom.
Demetria takes the ring and offers it out to Arvilli, "Arvilli, Will you accept and honor me through the highs and the lows, The good and the bad." she pauses.
"The magic missles and lances." she looks at her boys and winks to Arvilli."
Arvilli looks at them too, and then chuckles. "Yes, I will. And I think some brooches are in order." He then looks back at her. "Yes, I do." He then slides the ring onto his own finger as well.
Iymbryl glances at Siriel looking at him, and wipes his face swiftly, leaving no trace of a tear or watery eyes.
Tanikas smiles again to Shakti, nodding quietly. She lets Shakti rest her hand on her shoulder. Dabbing at her eyes again, she sniffles and watches the proceedings.
Zsuzsa smiles almost foolishly as she watches the proceedings.
Heather looks to the book and says a few words in celestial as the water vanishes from the basin and sends a light aura to the rings "by the power invested by me and the granting of the gods I would like to introduce you all to mister and misses Erikit." after the introduction the faint glow fades away.
Tanikas offers a clapping of her hands, between eye-dabs and sniffles of course. "That was beautiful." Smiling and looking to Shakti, "Perhaps we will be lucky enough to have weddings as nice as this, someday." She says, with a dreamy smile. And after a moment, "I'm sorry, I've gone and destroyed your handkerchief. I will replace it, I promise."
Theodone smiles as the wedding is almost ended, it simply is one he will remeber, since it is the only one he has ever seen before.
Shakti smiles faintly to Tanikas, her hand moving away a moment later. "'Twas lovely, indeed," she agrees, casting a look back as the proceedings seem to be winding to a close. Her smile thins a bit at the woman's latter words, though she answers evenly, "Mayhap someday, sai. Mayhap." With a shake of her head, she gestures at the handkerchief, "'Tis nothing, sai. 'Tis yours to keep or be rid of, as you wish."
Heather looks to the book and says a few words in celestial as the water vanishes from the basen and sends a light aura to the rings "by the power invested by me and the granting of the gods I would like to introduce you all to mister and misses Erikit." after the introduction the faint glow fades away. "you may kiss the bride."
Tanikas nods to Shakti, "Mayhaps..." At the mention of keeping the handkerchief, she smiles and nods. "Thank you. I am not normally so quick to tears."
Arvilli smiles and then hugs Demetria close and then kisses her hard on the lips. Not caring who is watching. There will be none of this chaste kiss stuff.
Demetria giggles as she kisses him back and the twin boys clap before looking at the crowd. They have enough of their mother in them that their young faces say...Clap or I cut you..I cut you deep and it bleed forever.
ShadowHawk claps
Iymbryl claps lightly, utterly ignoring the looks he get's from the boys
Blu'Shim spins around and claps and offers a wave to the twins on her way around.
Siriel grins as she sits up a bit more and claps.
Taladan chuckles and winks at the boys. He seems happy that it is finally done.
Shakti inclines her head graciously to Tanikas, "'Tis nothing to be shamed of, sai." Even if she, herself, isn't inclined to such shows of emotion. "Call me
Shakti, if you would." When the applause starts, the dancer turns on the ball of a foot, bringing her hands together in gentle applause to join the rest.
Heather claps loud but forgets the stage was enchanted to make sounds louder she gives a slight blush and stops "now my friends lets feast on free food." she motions to a few people bringing in food and tables "this is my gift for you two."
"Gifts??" Blu'Shim sounds worried, tapping her brother in the side of the head "You didn't tell me to bring a gift" she says sounding annoyed and huffs.
Zsuzsa claps loudly "Oh that was beautiful don't you think Mas...err Theo" she says catching herself sooner this time.
Arvilli blinks and then stops the kiss long enough to turn to Heather in surprise. "You didn't have to, honestly." He says, a bit embarrassed.
Tanikas smiles a little, nodding. "Aye. Shakti it is." Sniffle. "You may call me Tani. I have been away for a long time; It is good to see my home is flourishing." Looking to the stage, and the mention of food, she chuckles a little and then turns her attention to Shakti again, "I thank you for your kindness, Shakti. You bring honor to us." She whispers politely.
Heather smiles and says "I know but you know I am a softy."
Demetria moves to Arvilli's face, turns it towards her and kisses him again apparently not caring what Heather just did.
ShadowHawk looks up to Blu' "I didn't even know there would be a wedding. I came here looking for garbage monseters to kill like yesterday." he says with a pout.
Iymbryl smiles softly, sopping his clapping, just watch the couple before him.
Meredin looks up to Taladan and asks, "So who does the explodies now that they're married?"
Theodone stands up and claps for the couple and then a small smile appears on his lips. Turning his head alittle to look at Zsuzsa he nods. " Yes, it was very nice." then looks back to the couple and slowly stopping his clapping.
Blu'Shim looks a little stunned "Oh..." and frowns a little "Yeah that's right that is why we were coming here today wasn't it?? hmm how odd... hey can you see up my robes when I do this??"
Arvilli is about to say somehting else, but it gets drowned out when Dem kisses him one again. He then breaks it once more. "Love, we have to save something for tonight..."
Taladan shakes his head to Meredin, "I don't know that they want any magics at their wedding." he watches the couple for a moment with a small smile and then turns and says, "I think I'll make myself scarce now that the deed is done...I don't think either Arvilli or Deme need any help with the rest of it."
ShadowHawk nods to Blu then gets up to grab some free food to take with him on his way out of the park. He turns back and waves "g'night all, it's a long walk back to stonesong so I have to be leaving now."
Blu'Shim eeps and quickly floats back down to the ground and pockets some food for the trip back to stonesong "wait up!! my legs aren't as long as yours!!" she yells after her brother.
Demetria laughs quietly and winks at Arvilli, "Oh luv." she remarks quietly. "There will be alot going on tonight." she winks and the boys run over to Blu before jumping up and down.
Shakti dips her head to Tanikas, a motion that carries her into a shallow bow, ankles crossed and fingers lacing behind her. "So be it. 'Tis a pleasure sai Tani. And it has been a long while since last I've been here as well. Six months, mayhap?" she guesses. Her forehead creases a bit, then smooths. As to her kindness, she laughs gently, "'Tis such as all should do for their countrymen, whether it be to stand with them in danger or in happiness."
Heather makes a few motions and the stahe she made today and it goes back to the stone rubble it was.
Siriel stands after a moment and contemplates getting a drink of wine from one of the booths.
Heather smiles as she aproaches Siriel "I hope I did good, this is my second wedding I preformed... but that ended in a divorce."
Zsuzsa jumps up out of her chair with her empty mug in hand "Well I guess I should take this back to the man who sold them too us"
Demetria breaks the kiss and smiles gently. "Thank you all for coming.." she remarks and lightly leans against Arvilli before beaming. "This day has..." she pauses to look at her new husband. "Along time coming."
Iymbryl watches Siriel rise but he remains seated for the moment, just watching her, or past her... and smiles seeing Heather approach Siriel, hearing her words.
Meredin sulks a little as she says, "You're going home already to Taladan?"
Arvilli smiles and then holds Demetria close to him. "Its been a very long time, and a very long journey. I am glad that it has finally reached this point."
Taladan nods to Meredin, "Aye lass, I've had a long day, haven't slept since last night. These folks don't need me about messing up their fun. I'll be round abouts in the next few days, rest assured."
Siriel smiles "I think you did a beautiful job hon" she says to heather in a very sincere tone.
Heather nods with a smile and pulls out a bottle of the wine they both like "I bought some today." she offers the unopened bottle to siriel and even Iybryl if he wants some strawbery wine.
Theodone smiles to Zsazsu and nods, handing her the mug back to her. " yes, he may get offended if we not bring it back." as he tends to walk with her if need be.
Demetria slides off the stage and moves to quickly abscond a bottle of wine from Heather...Apparently wedding dress or not. Demetria is still a tricky tricky Bride.
Shakti drifts away from Tanikas after a fashion, her hands going automatically to adjust her skirts and make sure her hair is still in order. When things seem to be done, she is finally able to look over at the bride and groom with only a faint smile in place. There's a nod for them, if they happen to see it, and then she's angling off to find something to drink.
Siriel turns around and extends her hand to Iymbryl and makes a come here motion with her hand as she smiles at him.
The Wedding of Arvilli and Demetria is just breaking up. The large feast that happens after every wedding is currently taking place, and the bride is plifering booze.
Heather chuckles as her wine gets snatched but doesnt care as she got 4 more left... this is good hootch
Iymbryl swallows and stands, smiling easily as he makes his way to Siriel, and her freind.
Arvilli smiles and then just shakes his head softly and begins to make his wya through the crowd, greeting each one with a smile and a handshake or a hug, whichever they prefer.
Admist the booths of the fair, four long rows of tables have been set up infront of a stage. Decorated with white and gold the tables are full of food provided by heather to the masses that came to witness the even.
As Iymbryl steps over Siriel turns to Heather "This is Iymbryl, I don't know if you got a chance to meet him yet, he's new to Vintermor" and turns to Iym "This is Heather, cleric and toy store owner here in Vintermor"
Heather she offers a hand and says "please to meet you." the melorian half elf says.
Zsuzsa grins at Theo "would you like to walk with me, or shall I leave you be now?"
Iymbryl bows low, in the elven fashion, when one meets a visiting noble. "Well met Lady Heather. That was a beautiful ceremony.." He says taking Heathers hand as it is offered, and kisses her finger tips silently. He releases her hand and straightens.
Theodone shrugs. " I can walk, perhaps alittle quiter perhaps. I tend to shy way from crowds because of the noise. Though in the end it is up to you."
Siriel looks around a bit "I guess Demetria got that bottle of wine didn't she?" she asks Heather after the introductions.
Heather smiles and says "thank you and would you like some straw berry wine, its some of the best I ever had." she gives Siriel a chuckle and pulls out a new bottle.
Zsuzsa smiles a bit bashfully "I would love to keep your company if you don't mind then" she says quietly to Theo as she fiddles with the mugs.
Po moves to the park, late as usual. His steps are light, and he seems well rested, maybe even restless, as he goes. In his left hand is the flute he has been so fond of playing recently, but he is not playing it now. He instead has his arms crossed and is moving into and through the outskirts of the fair, looking into the crowd and the affair with a curious look in his sterling blue eyes. His black wolf, Shadow, moves along nearby, though seems to be wandering as such by mere coincidence, rather than as any sort of plan.
Demetria moves to slide up behind Arvilli and whispers something to him lightly before winking gently.
Demetria slides away from him and moves to pick up her bottle again as well as two glasses and heads out of the park.
Theodone smiles then and nods. " Sure be great if you coem along for a walk as you suggested. Unless you wanting to stay at the fair, we can make that another night?"
Arvilli blinks and then looks puzzledly at her for a moment. "Um, all right..." He then smiles and waves good bye to the rest of the people. "Thank you all for attending!"
Arvilli heads out of the park to go find his bride. Arvilli has left. Demetria has left.
Zsuzsa shrugs "oh no I think I'm faire'd out for the evening" and hands the mugs back to the guy at the stall.
Shakti is drifting away from the gathering, opting to get a bit of ale from a vendor. She drifts along, trying to find a place to nurse her drink in peace and finally finds such a place near a tree. She sinks to the ground, skirts pooling around her, and settles into drinking and watching the people as they continue past.
Iymbryl shakes his head, sending his long pony tail jumping. "No thank yes lady.. I'd prefer o keep my wits about me this evening.." He says easily with a grin.
Roquen comes walking into the faire once again, a slight frown on his face. His eyes looking around at all the people, and he tilts his head to the side. "Looks like some sort of party..."
Heather offers the bottle to Siriel as her head turns to Roquen "well of sorts, Demetria and Arvilli just got married."
Po's wanderings take him around and in the direction of Shakti's tree. He stops a short ways away and looks at her for a thoughtful moment, then begins to step lightly around the other side of the tree from her, looking again towards the festivities. He makes no secret of his movements, but tries to make less noise than would disturb anyone.
Siriel chuckles "oh I'm sure you won't lose your wits after one glass" she says with a smile "it's delicious wine" she looks to Heather "I know that I would definitely like a glass" she says.
Roquen blinks and tilts his head to look at Heather. "Who?" He then shrugs a little. "Doesn't matter." He then walks over to the food and begins to eat a little.
Theodone smiles and nods in agreement. " yes, as well as myself. Where you care to go. I have rarely be around this area for soem time and the fair has taken my usual spots of walking. Any suggestions?"
Heather reaches in to her magic pulls out two glasses "you know how anal I am and you doubted I wouldn't have drinking glasses." she then looks back to Roquen "please take some food home with you, I dont want left overs."
Iymbryl smiles, but shakes his head again. "Depends on the size of the glass, and just how full it is.. Besides I've little head for wine.."
Shakti glances up and askance as Po approaches, a quick smile being offere but likely missed. When he sits on the opposite side of the tree, she leans, just a bit, offering her mostly untouched mug of ale to him. It's offered with a murmured, "If you're thirsty, sai, help yourself. 'Tis entirely too much for me to drink." Or, perhaps, more than she /should/ drink.
Siriel takes the bottle and shows Iymbryl that it's a standard sized wine goblet, taking one from Heather she fills one half full and offers it to him, before pouring her own.
Iymbryl sighs, and takes the glass, taking a small sip. "Very could resist a pretty face.." He murmurs, glancing from Heather to Siriel and then around at everyone else.
Zsuzsa hmms for a moment "you could walk me home, well home for now. I stay at The White Hart" she offers.
Po glances over to Shakti's hand, and toward the mug. "What is it," he asks, his voice as soft as Shakti's.
Roquen doesn't seem to be having ANY trouble resisting pretty faces. Of course, there is really none around him either. Which is why its easier to resist. He then takes a some bites out of his food before looking back at Heather. "I would if I had one right now. But since I don't I will see what I can do about keeping some of the ones that won't spoil for a while."
Heather grins as she takes a seat "well I didn't think I was much of a drinker un till I won the contest the other night."
Siriel chuckles as a bit of a blush touches her cheeks again and pours herself a glass, full glass of wine. "I don't know about all that" she says quietly "So this one for me Heather?" she asks holding up the bottle.
Heather nods "sure if you want it, or I can give you a full bottle if you want?"
Theodone blinks and then chuckles. " Well, that is on my way to the place I stay at. I also saty at the White Heart when I am in town. We can walk each other then." as he smiles and readies to head on out of the park.
Meredin goes and flops herself down a table and sits there, grumbling, feeling rather bored now that Taladan had gone home and Ellis wasn't around to pounce.
Heather looks to roquen "sorry I hope that wasn't offensive?"
Shakti replies to Po with, "Ale, sai. But if 'tis not to your liking, I'll drink what I will and be rid of the rest in some fashion or another." Her nose wrinkles a bit and she adds, "'Tis not as good as what's served at the Hart, mayhap, but 'tis decent."
Zsuzsa laughs "well alright then we'll walk each other home" she loops her arm through his and walks with Theo.
Roquen blinks and thne looks at heather a table or two away. "Offensive? Oh, not in the slightest. Did I say something that made you think that I did?" He asks puzzledly.
Heather shakes her head "no just being careful."
Siriel shakes her head "this one was full, so I'll just keep this one" she says to Heather after Heather finishes talking to Roquen.
Theodone looks at the arm thing and shrugs, perhaps it is the way things are here. " Alright, lets go." then he starts to walk, guiding Zsuzsa along beside him.
"I will try it," Po says, reaching for the mug. "Hospitality is rare in the North and treasured by my tribe. It is not my nature to refuse any gift. Thank you." He takes the mug and looks into it a moment, before sipping some of the contents. His eyes squint as he tastes the drink, but he doesn't add anything afterwards, he only sets it back down near Shakti.
Roquen smiles a little at that. "Don't worry about being careful, I don't take offense to much. Just be yourself, and I will be just fine."
Iymbryl sips his suprisingly tasty wine, keeping his thoughts and words to himself. He simply stands there, enjoying the company of the two fine looking ladies
Shakti picks the mug up gingerly with her fingers and takes a sip as well, then sets it back where Po had placed it earlier. "While 'tis more often my nature to decline a gift from a stranger," she muses aloud. "Yet, 'tis important among my people to be hospitable to others unless they have committed some offense. Your people, 'twould seem, are not the same in that regard."
Heather nods to Roquen and then nods to Siriel and then says to Iymbryl "I am also the local enchanter of wonderus items and rings so if you need one just come to the toy store."
Roquen smiles a little at Heather. "Well, then, nice to meet you. I could always use some. As my gear is entirely non-magical at the moment. Anytihng you can do will be greatly welcome."
Siriel nods "Her boots are wonderful" she says to Iym.
Heather says "I am the cheepest enchanter in town, but I dont enchant weapons and in a few months I hope I can enchant tattos."
Iymbryl looks to Heather and smiles, her words ensnaring his attention. "Really... I shall have to keep you and your enchanting in mind for the future.." He says glancing at Siriel while he speaks.
Po glances towards Shakti and says, "It does seem quite different. All things that my tribe has are things to be treasured, every drop of water, every berry or strip of hide. So even a small gift seems... great to my tribe. It is hard to give when you have little for yourself."
Heather smiles as she refills her glass "well boots of winterland, morthdar and elven kind are my specilty."
Siriel smiles "Heather and I both vy for the same customers" she says with a chuckle "as we both do tattooing for those who wish it at a fair price, she's richer than I because she does the enchanting of the boots as well" she says with a laugh.
Roquen smiles, but then pauses, and tilts his head to the side. "Tattoos? You can honestly enchant tattoos now?" He just shakes his head at that.
Iymbryl grins at this, wiggling his foot in demonstration. "Aye lady.. I've got boots of elvenkind.. my boots were made by the elves. and fine boots they are.
Heather nods "it can be done but I am not ready to do them just yet."
Shakti chuckles softly to Po, settling more comfortably against the tree and brushes her hands across her skirts to smooth them. "Whilst we, traders that we are, often have enough to treat any guest as an honoured one. When we have little, we spare all we can ... when we have plenty, well, 'tis a much more grand affair."
Siriel sticks her foot out and shows off her booted foot "So are mine" she says with a chuckle to Iymbryl.
Roquen just blinks and shakes his head. "I wonder if they will be able to enchant body parts next. An eye that stares death or an arm that shoots fireballs. That would be something."
A smile grows on Po's face as he moves around the tree a bit so he can see, and be seen by, Shakti a bit better. He says, playfully, "Grand affairs like this fair affair?" He chuckles a bit.
Iymbryl grins, and nods, eyeing Siriel's booted boot, letting his gaze travel quickly up her leg and body to her face meeting her gaze with his his own. "Aye lady.. and wonderful boots they are too."
Heather shakes her head "do do that has became taboo by the gods for some reasion, the reasion has never been tod to us."
Siriel frowns and then shakes her head a little bit and smiles again "Well thank you" she says "but really the compliment should go to Heather as she is the one I bought them from"
Heather smiles at the compliment
Shakti twists a little, able to look sidelong at Po and return the smile with a small one of her own. "'Tis something altogether different, truly, but ... I suppose this would be as close as you'd come to it. 'Tis something best experienced than told of," she muses. Her bracelets jingle a bit, her hands moving to straighten her skirts some more, and she looks away just a little, her eyes drifting across the gathered people.
Iymbryl smiles, grinning a clever grin. "She does good work... but I refer more to the foot inside the boot.." He says, and sips his wine easily.
Siriel sips her wine and chuckles "You've not seen the foot inside the boot" she says teasingly and sticks out her tongue playfully.
Iymbryl nods, and flashes his eyes at Siriel, "Perhaps.. but if the rest of you is anything to go by.." He says letting his words trail off, not needing to be spoken.
Roquen nods softly, and then frowns. "I wonder why it would be. Seems a bit odd..." HE then tilts his head. "Ah, well...I am not the brightest bulb in the bunch."
Heather shrugs "who knows what the gods mean with what they do and decree."
Siriel laughs "Ah but the only flesh that you've seen is my arms, other than my face" she says "so I don't know, that's not much to go on" she finishes with her tongue slightly to the side in her cheek.
Iymbryl nods, grinning broadly. "Indeed Lady... but your face is beautiful enough to cover for the rest of you, even if the rest of you was a warty ogre.." He ways, and his gaze drops over Siriel' and back up. "And I'd stake my life, wits and magick that it's not.."
"Maybe some day I will experience it," Po says, a bit of hope and a bit of wanderlust in his voice. He also looks out, though his eyes move through the crowd, then over them to the stars. "There are many places far from here that I have not been, and I doubt I will see them all, but I would like to see some. Your land, and where the other elves come from. The Primal elves sound interresting... like my own people, but so far away."
Roquen nods softly at that, and then sips his wine. "I am not too devout of a follower of the gods, truth be told. I just try to live in the world as they made it."
Siriel blushes a bit at that comment "Aye, not warty scarred maybe a bit marred but not warty" she says with a wink.
Iymbryl shrugs, and waves off the comment. "What's a rose without a few thorns.."
Heather nods as she gets up with a yawn "well I am but then it would make me a bad Cleric of valtamari if I wasent." she starts to to leave as she says "well off to bed I go, hope to see you all here torromow for the other events here."
"Mayhap so, sai," Shakti replies, then starts to rise from her seated posture, unable to sit still for long tonight or so it would seem. "Mayhap you will be fortunate enough. I doubt that I shall see such a thing again." A pang of sadness arises and is quickly schooled into nothing. That's where she's content to leave it for now, her hands now occupied with dusting her skirts off.
Siriel watches Heather leave to go to her house, not being able to wave because of the bottle of wine in one hand and full glass in the other. "That's true" she says to Iymbryl, she looks from him to the stuff in her hands and thrusts the glass at him "here hold this for one moment" she says "that way I can put this bottle in my pack"
Iymbryl nods and extends his hand, slender fingers entwining around the flutes of both glasses, and he take it form her hand leaving her free. "Of course.."
Siriel smiles "thank you" she says with a look that says 'where are my manners?' she slides the bottle into her pack and rests it back on her hip, straightening up again she puts her hand out to take the glass back.
Po remains seated when Shakti stands, and glances toward her. A black wolf moves out of the darkness and appears beside him, covered with snow. He pets it a bit, ruffling its head, then stands himself. "It would be a sad thing if I were never to see my tribe again. I left under less than favorable circumstances, but they are family. Time heals all wounds," he says. "Maybe some day, in time, you could show me your homeland, however long in coming that day is."
Iymbryl releases the glass and bows his head. Perhaps we could continue our conversation elsewhere? Someplace warmer?" He says pulling his cloak closer around him.
Siriel smiles "sure we can do that, the Silvertine isn't too far away" she says looking towards the park exit.
Shakti stretches languidly, rising to her tiptoes, then lowering to her feet and resettling her cloak about her shoulders. "Sai Po, I fear that such a thing would be more likely to happen in your lifetime than mine," her laughter is dry and throaty. Amused. "'Tis my own fault for shaming the face of my kostaya when-" but she can't even bring herself to say any more, ducking her head away. "Anyway. 'Tis a matter of my own to deal with, as needs must be done."
Iymbryl smiles. "Of course M'lady.. Lead on." He says draining the last of his wine and setting the glass down.
Po looks over to Shakti, a slight frown shows on his face before he looks down to his flute, and down to Shadow. He looks up again with a bit of a smile and says, "Well. We will see." A movement of his eyes and he bends over to pick up the mug, left on the ground. He offers it to Shakti and says, "You shouldn't forget these things." His smile waxes a bit.
Roquen watches as people start to leave, and its just him once more. He then shrugs a little at that. "Well, par for the course, really."
Shakti fusses a bit with her skirts, a convenient excuse for her to not look at anyone, then finally looks up with a composed expression that's gently apologetic. "Ah, thank'ee sai. Sometimes I wonder at my memory as well," she murmurs, dipping into a shallow bow to Po before taking the mug. It's held in both hands, her fingers curling around it.
Po's blinks when Shaki takes the mug, and then turns to look towards the Crowd again, and then looks out into the snow falling into the darker areas of the park. "People seem to be leaving," he says. "I must be because of the snow. Shadow is liking it less and less here, as well." He looks over to Shaki, at her orange and yellow fur-lined cloak. "Is that warm enough for you? I'm not sure how the cold affects you... or others."
Shakti blinks as if suddenly realizing the shift in weather, then her nose crinkles a bit. She glances to Po with a faint, almost sheepish smile, "It should suffice, sai. The walk to the Hart will keep my blood moving and keep me warm," she guesses, shoulders rolling a bit and a hand going up to adjust the cloak again. "I was dancing earlier and hardly noticed the cold at all."
Roquen frowns and then looks out at the two, and just shakes his head. "Well, time to go make my camp outside town." He then picks up his things, and looks around. Marriage...He then shakes his head. "I got to find someone dumb enough, first." Picking up the bag and slinging it over his shoulder, he begins to head out of the park as well.
Po looks towards the east, towards the White Hart. His hands move behind his back and he says, "I think I am going to be renting a room at he Hart tonight. Maybe I will keep you company as you go... make sure no trolls come walking through town thinking, 'Gee, I wish there was some human dancing girl I could eat.' Then see you and decide that its their lucky day."
Shakti looks in that direction as well, then hands her mug off to someone who is, apparently, working at the fair to clean things up. She dusts her hands off again, head tilting to Po with a chuckle of amusement, "You underestimate me, sai?" she chides, reaching up to draw her cloak tighter around her. "But, as you are neither a stranger to me, nor a troll, then I shall gladly take your offer of company, sai."
Po chuckles a bit at Shakti's fist. "No, I don't underestimate you. I am merely going along to warn the troll off and try to save /it/ from /you/. Poor troll, walking through town, looking for a meal when BAM. Dancing girl kicks its head off." Po makes a shadow punch into the darkness to highlight the bam and laughs again when he finishes speaking. He gestures with both hands towards the east and says, "Shall we be going then?"
Shakti keeps one hand up, holding her cloak closed a bit, while the other hand hikes up her skirts just a little so they don't get too mucked up. There's laughter at his 'observation', bright and contrasting sharply with her typically soft manner. That subsides quickly enough and, with a polite inclination of her head in the direction of the Hart, she smiles and murmurs, "So be it, sai. Lead on, if you would."
Po seems to notice the flute, still in his hand, as he begins to straighten his posture and begin to walk. His right hand moves to the satchel tied at his back and removes a wooden case from it, into which Po begins to place his flute. His Morthidar feet carry him over the snow easilly, but he moves at a comfortable speed. "How long are you staying in town, if you don't mind my asking? So many people here seem to come from far away, and leave to far away. Zsuzsa must be the only one who I have met that is actually from here."
Shakti drifts along with a dancer's grace, her feet touching lightly and her manner steady. At his question, her head tilts a bit to one side, thoughtfully, then: "This is as good as home for me for now, sai. When I first came here, 'twas after the festival, I believe. Vintermor is my home and I have dedicated myself to protecting it, at least when I can." Her head bows briefly, dark strands of hair fluttering free. "And yourself? Will you stay long or will you, mayhap, leave to travel a while?"
"I don't know. There is still much to learn here, and many people I have yet to meet. Vintermor seems... less of an adjustment than the other lands I have heard of," Po says. "I would most definitely like to see some of the other lands, but I have a long time to do such things, and leaving here before I have fully experienced Vintermore would defeat the purpose of leaving in the firs place. Of course, if I have to save some helpless troll from the wrath of a dancing girl, I might have to make this place my eternal resting ground. So I can haunt you, of course."
Silence follows, then that laughter comes, though it doesn't last particularly long. Shai brushes her hair out of her face, tucking it behind an ear as she muses, "Well, you, at least, have plenty of time in which to explore ... living or dead, mayhap." Her nose does wrinkle at his latter words, however, her eyes flicking to him, sidelong, "So you could, sai, but then I'd have to take up some god to protect me from any such hauntings. 'Tis not proper," and she colours a bit at that, "and ghosts are more mischievious in death than their flesh was in life, so I've heard."
Po says "Well, if I am to be any more mischievious the world may come to an end. So we better make sure I don't come back as a ghost."
